International Yoga Day celebration by Pragyan Foundation

New Delhi (India), June 27: On June 21, 2024, Pragyan Foundation in collaboration with JAM Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy, Divine Bliss Foundation and The Global Academy Of Science, Culture and Spirituality hosted a vibrant International Yoga Day celebration at Pragyan Bhavan. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of Pragyan Foundation, who is also a world renowned Holistic Wellness Expert and a celebrity Yoga Teacher. The theme of International Yoga Day for this year was “Yoga for Self and Society.”

Yoga, an age-old tradition from India, integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. This practice aims to unify the body, mind, and spirit, fostering overall wellness. There are numerous styles and techniques within yoga, each targeting distinct elements of physical and mental well-being. Yoga is highly valued for its role in enhancing both physical and mental health, as it cultivates vitality, strength, and resilience. It transforms negative energy into creative force and stress into strength, benefiting both the body and mind. Consistent yoga practice can boost flexibility, strength and balance, alleviate stress, and improve mental clarity and emotional stability.

Dr. Agarwal led a one-hour mass yoga session, featuring asanas and pranayama, in line with the AYUSH Ministry’s protocol. This session emphasized holistic health and the theme “Yoga for Self and Society.” He also delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of yoga in our daily life and the society. Dr. Agarwal assisted by the instructors demonstrated simple yoga techniques for the participants. The audience actively participated, following the yoga routines with enthusiasm and dedication. Interactive Q&A sessions with yoga experts allowed participants to learn more about incorporating yoga into daily life. The event received positive feedback for its organization and instructional quality. The celebration successfully promoted yoga’s benefits and fostered community spirit, with promises of an even grander event in the years to come.
